Welcome

The purpose of this department is to protect Harnett County from rabies transmitted by unconfined, uncontrolled or unimmunized animals, to regulate dogs and other animals that may be a nuisance, and to insure all animals are treated in a humane manner.

Due to a state inspection, we have lost the use of our adoption kennel. This cuts our holding capacity by 16 dog runs. Due to these recent events, we are not able to post pictures of the adoptable animals at this time. We are working on this issue resolved. Thank you for you understanding and patience.
