Kids Visit and Learn About The Shelter



On June 25th 2007, a group of children from Solid Rock United Methodist Church came to our shelter to learn about Animal Control, animal safety and animal care.

Animal Control Ordinance
The purpose of this ordinance is to protect citizens from rabies, regulate dogs and other nuisance animals, to insure humane treatment, and promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Read ordinance.

Donations

Financial donations are always welcome for the Harnett County Animal Control. However, we are also always in need of non-money items such as what you see in the list below. Donations may be dropped off at our location during office hours. Click here for directions.

  • Blankets
  • Canned and dry pet food
  • New and used carrying crates and kennels (Wire or Plastic) 
  • Cat litter
  • Towels
  • Rawhides, dog biscuits, and dog treats 
  • Toys (that can be sanitized)
  • Flea/Tick spray
  • Brushes or other grooming products and equipment  
  • New or used collars and leashes
  • Kuranda beds (www.kuranda.com/shop/products.asp)
  • Plastic whelping boxes
